Gum Rosin Grade WW
250 KG Galvanized Drum 20 MT
Gum rosin grade WW, also known as Wood Rosin or Water White Rosin, is a high-quality and widely used type of rosin derived from pine resin. The term "WW" stands for "Water White," indicating its colorless to pale yellow appearance. This specific grade is valued for its purity and clarity, making it suitable for various industrial applications.
Gum Rosin is produced from the crude pine resin collected from pine trees. The resin is subjected to distillation and the distillation process is carried out in large copper stills. The volatile liquid terpene components would separate from the mixture as it vaporizes at a temperature between 100 to 160°C, leaving behind fluid rosin as the distillate. This fluid rosin is collected and purified by passing it through straining wadding. The condensate left behind is called turpentine oil.
Gum Rosin WW is a key component in the formulation of various adhesives, providing strong bonding properties for applications such as paper, wood, and packaging adhesives.
Widely used in printing ink formulations, Gum Rosin WW enhances adhesion strength and contributes to the clarity of colors in the final print.
In the coating industry, Gum Rosin WW is employed for its clarity and transparency, making it valuable in formulations for transparent coatings and layers requiring weather resistance.
